Tips and Tricks

Follow these recommendations to achieve the best sharpening results and extend the life of both your knives and your Eccospherely Rolling Knife Sharpener.
Choose the Correct Sharpening Angle
15° – Ideal for Japanese knives and other fine-edged blades that require exceptional precision.
20° – Recommended for chef's knives, Santoku knives, utility knives, and most everyday kitchen knives.
Start with the Right Diamond Disc
Use the 400-grit diamond disc to restore dull or slightly damaged edges.
Finish with the 1000-grit diamond disc to refine, polish, and achieve a razor-sharp edge.
Apply Gentle, Consistent Pressure : Allow the diamond discs to do the work. Using excessive force will not improve sharpening results and may reduce the lifespan of the discs.
Sharpen the Entire Blade Evenly :Roll the sharpener smoothly from the heel to the tip of the blade while maintaining a consistent angle. This helps create an even cutting edge
Sharpen Regularly : Regular maintenance sharpening keeps your knives performing at their best and requires less effort than sharpening a heavily worn edge.
Prioritise Safety : Always sharpen on a stable, flat surface and keep your fingers clear of the cutting edge throughout the sharpening process.
Cleaning & Maintenance : Proper care will help maintain the performance and appearance of your Eccospherely Rolling Knife Sharpener for years to come.
After Each Use ;
Wipe away any metal particles from the diamond discs using a soft, dry cloth.
Wash and thoroughly dry the knife before preparing food.
Cleaning the Sharpener ;
Wipe the wooden roller and magnetic angle guide with a soft, slightly damp cloth when required.
Ensure all components are completely dry before storing.
Do not soak the wooden components in water.
Storage ;
Store the sharpener in the included storage bag when not in use.
Keep it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and excessive moisture.
Avoid dropping the sharpener or allowing the diamond discs to strike hard surfaces.
Diamond Disc Care ;
Inspect the diamond discs regularly for wear or damage.
Replace the discs if you notice a significant reduction in sharpening performance.
Important Care Notes ;
Do not use harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or steel brushes.
Do not place any part of the sharpener in a dishwasher.
Keep the product out of reach of children when not in use.
